Wang Huawen: Charity is my dream
Subsidizing impoverished students, donating to disaster areas, participating in charity auctions, and organizing the purchase of love oranges... In the business community of Lishui, there is such a tireless owner who is dedicated to the cause of love. He is Wang Huawen, the chairman of Zhejiang Ouyi Bearing Manufacturing Co., Ltd., known as a "commoner philanthropist in Lishui". Recently, he made further efforts in charity and established the Meishan Middle School Ouyi Bearing Love Education Fund. With his love and business experience, he packaged the charity to operate a larger "love dividend".
Establish a foundation and "package" it for charity
Recently, the establishment of the Ouyi Bearing Love Aid Fund and the launch ceremony of the Sanwei Club Activity Center at Meishan Middle School were held.
There is no eternal love in the world, but there is eternal love! "At the launch ceremony, Wang Huawen, the chairman of Zhejiang Ouyi Bearing Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and his classmates shared their growth process and their motto with the teachers and students present, encouraging them to study hard and repay society. At the same time, the school also issued an appointment letter to Wang Huawen, who became the 16th "Senior Moral Education Advisor" at Meishan Middle School.
It is understood that the Ouyi Bearing Love Education Fund was established this time, initiated by Zhejiang Ouyi Bearing Manufacturing Co., Ltd. It will be funded by the company for 800000 yuan, with an annual interest of 40000 yuan, to recognize students of excellent moral character and academic performance at Meishan Middle School, teachers and students who have achieved excellent results in activities, and to provide financial assistance to students in need.
Since I was young, I haven't had the opportunity to study due to my family's poverty. Since I started my business, I have always wanted to repay society, especially to help those who can't afford to go to school. Wang Huawen told reporters that the establishment of the Love Student Aid Fund is his first foundation in the years of participating in charity work, and it is also the process of his charity work moving from decentralization to systematization. There have been many students who previously received individual funding, but this funding method can only help one by one. Establishing a foundation can be more proactive and increase the benefits of charity
Wang Xiaofei, Vice Principal of Meishan Middle School, told reporters that the Ouyi Bearing Love Student Aid Fund is the first social foundation of the school. It not only targets impoverished students, but also students with particularly excellent grades and special honors. The school has also established a fund management committee to organize the distribution of student aid funds.
The first phase of the foundation is 5 years, and in 5 years, as long as our company operates well, we can still increase the amount of the fund, "said Wang Huawen, Chairman of Zhejiang Ouyi Bearing Manufacturing Co., Ltd.
From Veterans to Entrepreneurs
In addition to being the chairman of Zhejiang Ouyi Bearing Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Wang Huawen, 37 years old, has many titles, such as the vice chairman of Lishui Bearing Industry Association, the outstanding representative of Zhejiang Province's veterans, the exemplary individual who supports the army in Lishui, the well-known caring person in Lishui, and the member of the CPPCC in Liandu District... These titles record his role transformation from a soldier to an entrepreneur to a philanthropist, and are also his "transcript" at each stage of his life, And these, in Wang Huawen's own rating, are far from passing.
Wang Huawen, who joined the army in 1992, joined the Party in the following year and received multiple honors while in the army. In an exercise, Wang Huawen risked his life to rescue a comrade from the sea and was awarded the title of "Excellent Model Soldier". In the 1994 Group Army Reconnaissance Force Shooting Competition, he achieved a good result of second place and thus achieved third class merit.
In 1996, with reluctance, Wang Huawen retired from the army and began his own career in Fujian. With the hardworking qualities of a peasant family and the resolute style of soldiers, he quickly made a start in his career. During this period, he also went abroad to seek business opportunities and earned his first bucket of gold.
In 2006, three years after returning to China, he founded Zhejiang Ouyi Bearing Manufacturing Co., Ltd.
Under the careful management of Wang Huawen, this company with a registered capital of only 3.18 million yuan quickly developed into a large-scale bearing manufacturing enterprise within the Yangtze River Delta. The company has the right to independently operate imports and exports, and its products have been exported to over 40 countries and regions in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe, South America, and other regions for a long time. Last year, the company's annual sales exceeded 50 million yuan.
Wang Huawen, who comes from a military background, also places great importance on honest management in his business. In 2008, the company was rated as a "2007 2008 Tax Credit Grade A Enterprise" by the Municipal State Taxation Bureau. In 2010, it was rated as an "AA level enterprise with a tax credit rating for the years 2009 to 2010" by the Municipal State Taxation Bureau. In 2011, the company was awarded the "Zhejiang Province Industrial and Commercial Enterprise Credit AA Level 'Contract Abiding and Credit Valuing' Unit".
Businessmen have become civilian philanthropists
The enterprise is still in the stage of development and growth, and it is also a time when funds are urgently needed. However, at this time, Wang Huawen, in addition to running the enterprise well, has already started to worry about another thing in his heart - doing charity.
On June 1, 2007, it was a children's holiday. Wang Huawen and his friends came to the editorial department of Lishui Daily. As soon as they entered the door, they asked to look through the information of impoverished elementary school students and wanted to pair up with several children.
It turned out that since he started his business in Lishui, he had always wanted to do some public welfare work. When he learned from the newspaper that "bid farewell to the 1500 Action Plan - a large-scale student assistance activity for thousands of impoverished primary school students," he immediately decided to support them. Feeling that his own abilities were limited, he even called several familiar friends. After everyone unanimously agreed, on the International Children's Day on June 1st, several heads of private enterprises put down their jobs and came to the newspaper to sign up for funding. This time, Wang Huawen provided one-time funding for over 30 out of school children. At that time, the company was still in its early stages and we were also short of money ourselves. However, seeing those children so pitiful made me feel that I couldn't ignore them. By saving money elsewhere, we could help them
This is Wang Huawen's first act of love in Lishui, and from then on, he became an ambassador for charity among the people. Every time he saw someone in need, he couldn't help but offer help.
In August 2008, despite the company's tight financial situation, Wang Huawen did not hesitate to support Ma Zhouying, a poor student in Yunhe's college entrance examination. From the initial 3000 yuan student aid to the present, Wang Huawen has been persisting.
So far, Wang Huawen has supported more than 40 impoverished children and students, and over the years, Wang Huawen's total amount spent on charitable donations has exceeded 1 million yuan. In Wang Huawen's office, the brocade flags sent by the beneficiaries were piled up, but Wang Huawen locked them into a box. I do good deeds without expecting anything in return. As long as I do them myself, I feel comfortable, that's all
In addition to caring about impoverished students, Wang Huawen is also enthusiastic about other public welfare undertakings. He is present at charity auctions, giving warmth to the elderly, and donating to disaster areas. When Wang Huawen heard the news of the Yushu earthquake, he immediately posted a donation proposal and organized company employees to donate. Ouyi Bearing Manufacturing Co., Ltd. also became the first private enterprise in Lishui to initiate donations.
Last November, a fire broke out on the third floor of a four story residential building in Shuige Old Village, Liandu. Two children and their father were burned and hospitalized. After hearing about the situation, Wang Huawen sent them 10000 yuan in cash and bought toys for the two children.
In Wang Huawen's love career, the warm term "love orange" cannot be separated.
In 2008, Lishui had a Dafengshou (Salad of assorted fresh vegetables) of oranges. However, the practical problem of increasing production without increasing income deeply hurt orange farmers. After Wang Huawen saw the report, he immediately contacted the Liandu District Agriculture Bureau to express his willingness to purchase a batch of love oranges from struggling orange farmers. In the end, Wang Huawen purchased 12000 kilograms of oranges at a price twice the market price, and personally gave all the love oranges to over 400 sanitation workers in the city.
In February of this year, Wang Huawen once again took action. After learning that a couple in their 80s in Lakou Town, Qingtian County had not sold a pound of 12 tons of Ponkans they had picked, they immediately rushed to the old man's house and bought all the Ponkans at one yuan per kilogram. They gave them to the elderly in nursing homes such as Chongde and Shuige, as well as the sanitation workers in the Liandu District Environmental Health Management Bureau.
He has a heart full of love in his heart
A businessman who is passionate about doing charity as a "loss buying and selling" business, many people around Wang Huawen do not understand. Some even believe that he is just showing off, but in fact, in Wang Huawen's heart, he has his own "love ledger".
Most of our company's products are exported, and doing charity shows in Lishui doesn't help the business at all. "Wang Huawen said that if he insists on doing charity, he is actually repaying his childhood debts and repaying the kindness of society.
In 1975, Wang Huawen was born in Wanli Village, Yaxi Town, Gaochun County, Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province, China. This is a small mountain village with only over 200 people. At the age of three, his mother left him and his sister and left for a distant land. At the age of 10, Wang Huawen had already learned how to cook, and by the age of 11, he had already helped his family with farm work in the fields. Since childhood, my family has been poor and often unable to make ends meet. It is with the help of my neighbors that I am able to provide food and clothing. Growing up with a "hundred family meals," he is self reliant, optimistic, and has a grateful heart. He knows better than others how to think of the source when drinking water. Even if the company is just starting, his love has already extended to the vulnerable groups in Lishui.
Through hardships, one feels the preciousness of happiness; losing maternal love, one feels the preciousness of family affection; encountering dropouts, one feels the preciousness of knowledge. "The hardships of childhood forced him, who was only 15 years old, to drop out of school and lose the opportunity to continue high school. He deeply felt this, which was also the main reason why he persisted in supporting dropout children and impoverished students in the college entrance examination for many years.
In Wang Huawen's dictionary, "mother" seems to be an unattainable character. The abandonment of the mother has lost the color of maternal love in his childhood, and it is precisely because of this that Wang Huawen understands more clearly how important "parental love" is for a child's growth.
In February 2008, Wang Huawen saw a report in a newspaper that an orphan named Chen Jinlong (alias Long Long) was searching for "loving parents" in Weidongpeng Village, Zhaitan Township, Songyang County. Long Long became an orphan at the age of 8, relying on his 74-year-old grandmother to support him. With empathy, Wang Huawen decided to provide financial assistance to Xiao Long, buying him new clothes, shoes, backpacks, as well as daily necessities such as milk and blankets. He also gave him an initial subsidy of 2000 yuan. In this way, as a "godfather", he provided financial assistance to Bruce Lee and emotional warmth until Bruce Lee was adopted by an overseas Chinese in Qingtian a year later.
As long as the pulse is still beating, charity must continue. "Now, Wang Huawen himself has a child, and he told reporters that doing charity has become a part of his life. In addition to continuing to do charity, he also has a big goal: to build a Hope Primary School named after his son, to pass on the charity cause and encourage more people to participate in it.
