Analysis of the Gap between China's Rolling Bearings and Foreign Countries
China's bearing industry started construction in 1950, and after half a century of development, it has formed a relatively systematic and complete production and technology system, becoming the fourth largest country in the world's bearing production after Japan, the United States, and Germany, achieving remarkable achievements.
However, compared with developed countries in the bearing industry, there is still a significant gap in China's bearing industry. Mainly manifested in:
1、 In terms of variety, there are currently about 150000 types and specifications of bearing products worldwide, while China has produced only over 20000 so far, most of which are universal products.
2、 In terms of production capacity, there are currently over 2000 bearing production enterprises in China, which is 5-6 times the total number of bearing enterprises in other countries around the world. However, the annual total output value of the country is only equivalent to TIMKEN Company (approximately 21 billion yuan), which ranks sixth in the United States; Compared to the top ranked Swedish SKF company, it is only half of its annual output value (approximately 40 billion yuan); Compared to Japan, it is only equivalent to more than ten percent of its annual output value.
3、 In terms of dimensional tolerance and rotational accuracy, although bearings in China have approached the level of foreign famous brand products, there is still a significant gap in the dispersion of dimensional deviation. In addition, foreign countries have already begun to research and apply precise rotation accuracy indicators such as "non repetitive jumping", while research in this area in China is still blank.
4、 In terms of high-speed performance, foreign famous brand products have a DmN value of 4 × 106mm · r/min, while bearings in China are only 2 × 106mm · r/min.
5、 In terms of vibration, noise, and abnormal noise, Japan has introduced silent and ultra silent bearings, while the vibration (acceleration) extreme level of bearings in China is generally more than 10dB lower than that of Japanese products.
6、 In terms of lifespan and reliability, taking deep groove ball bearings as an example, the lifespan of foreign famous brand products is generally more than 8 times the calculated lifespan (up to 30 times or more), with a reliability of over 98% (or pursuing the same lifespan as the host). However, the lifespan of bearings in China is generally only 3-5 times the calculated lifespan, with a reliability of about 96%.
7、 There is a significant gap in the application technology of bearings under special working conditions in China.
Due to the shortcomings in terms of variety, specifications, performance, and quality of bearings in China, the vast majority of them are low-end products in export, with an average price of only around 0.4 US dollars per set of bearings, without any technical competitiveness. Moreover, in some important domestic main aircraft or fields, such as civil aviation aircraft, high-speed railway passenger cars, mid to high-end sedans, computers, air conditioners, imported major equipment, etc, Basically, imported bearings dominate the country. And these industries or fields are mostly pillar industries or fields of the national economy.
In summary, rolling bearing is not a simple mechanical component in the usual sense, but a mechanical product carrier that contains rich technical connotations. As a fundamental mechanical industry, the level of technology in the bearing industry is representative of a country's industrial and technological development level. If a country without a bearing industry is not a fully industrialized country, then a country without advanced bearing technology cannot be said to have advanced manufacturing technology. There is still a significant gap between China's bearing industry and the advanced technology level of foreign countries. Therefore, it is even more necessary for the country to stand at a strategic height and provide more and greater support.
